I'm considering to buy a aqua terra. Which one do you like better? to me the horizontal lines remind me a nautilus dial pattern. Btw, is mater coxial same as master chronometer?

    Hi,
Great question. I have a black dial master co-axial, I really like the vertical lines and size of the crown. With that said I really like the date at the 6 o'clock position more then at the 3 o'clock.
I do not know if a Master co-axial is the same as a Master chronometer, the master co-axial is the 15,000 gauss.

Master Chronometer is the METAS certification. Master coaxial is just the 15,000 gauss technology without certification.

Edit: I personally have the 41.5 master coax blue dial, and I wouldn't want any other except maybe this:

I do like the date at 6, but I don't like the Horizontal lines (perhaps in person it makes more sense)

I have the Master coaxial in Blue and love it.

For me, I love the date at 6 and less writing on the dial. These are both big pluses for me.

However, I am not really sure about the horizontal lines. The CGI render looks ok but that photo of the gray dial is horrifying.

Need to see it in the metal

The horizontal lines look like the panels on a roller door

I prefer the new ones, check the Green remarks as positive.

The horizontal grooves now alternate deep, two shallows, deep…nice IMO.

Just do not like the smile effect on the date window, red mark.

The new font is really good.

Think the even older one works best....

And yes, I do like the date at 3 and yes, I do like the date-window.
In my opinion, a date window without a framing, is actually excusing itself on a continuous basis. Nah.

A window needs framing, unless you want it to look like it is not finished yet.

I actually quite like the horizontal lines, date at 6 (with beveled frame) and the new crown, but if you go for the vertical lines I'm with @Willem023 - the date window looks better on the earlier 8500 ATs.

Why not go even further back? The 1st gen AT's had a slimmer, more elegant case and uncluttered dial. 8500 and newer ATs was too butch IMHO.

Some aspects look better such as the date placement, as others have mentioned. Regarding the horizontal lines I think we need to see live to make a final judgement, similar to the Globemaster fluted bezel which looked awful on some of the initial shots but razzle dazzles on the wrist:).

Another point I am curious about is whether they have improved the bracelet on this new AT and the way it integrated with the case/lugs...I really did not like the bracelet on my Bumblebee and had to adopt a Barenia strap to keep me happy.

I like the new version quite a lot -- looking forward to seeing one in hand later this summer.

Looking for a good deal on a grey teak 39mm AT coax myself for a while now. I think it's one of the two best/looking modern watches by anyone, anywhere.

If you are thinking about the new one, remember it is at least a 6 month wait, maybe more
