Good morning all
I'm new to this forum and I'm coming to ask your opinion on this new purchase on ebay following a thunderbolt.
pie pan 14393 9 sc with movement 561
Can you give me your opinion? I'm afraid to put it a little rushed and I must receive it in a few days!
Few pictures below. Sorry for my English i'm French!

Not a specialist, but it seems to be a nice catch, like the overall patination!
I guess Crown is not the original.

Pas un spécialiste, mais cela semble être une bonne prise, comme la patine globale!
Je suppose que Crown n'est pas l'original.
well, seller said that case is 100% original so I don't know really !
the movement is recently serviced (cleaned, oled, timed) and case not buff or polish to preserve original patina just ultrasonically cleaned

Not true the case has been polished.

In my opinion, the dial is a redial and missing the lume (looks like reprinted after cleaning). but it is one of the better examples. The case has been polished significantly and the crown is wrong.

I think that the overall impression when having the watch on the wrist might be fine, though.

How much did you pay for this watch? Maybe the price was fair enough?

$850 would be too much for me, personally.

If I get you right you are not sure if you bought the right watch? Just in case, can you return it?

You should wait until the watch arrives and see if you'll feel comfortable with it. $850 is not a bargain, but I don't think the price is really bad.

As I said, I can imagine that it looks good on the wrist. 😀

Some doubts about the redial, hopefully it is either because of the bad quality of the picture. Worst case scenario, it is a nice redial (for once)

You could have done way worse: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/Omega-Const...244165?hash=item44495773c5:g:UOcAAOSwO-RdqwsV

Though, if you decide to keep it, I would try to find the correct crown on top of the band and buckle

😀[/CITATION]
Thanks ! it is not a fake

Dial is absolutely correct.

The "thick font" is due to the the same ingress of moisture that has caused the spotty aging elsewhere on the dial and probably the loss of lume too.

Placement of minute markers is a known variation.

Be careful when buying the buckle, lots of fake out there... Also, if you truly want the "good" one, you will need to do some research to find what was the shape of the logo in 1960. It changed a bit across the years.

Honestly I won't pay too much attention having the correct buckle (a generic one would be ok for me), I would focus more on having a strap that better complement the watch. Color is important but also the dimensions (and quality). For a 14393, I guess a good start would be a 18/14mm strap, 3mm thick?
