Hey guys, so I just traded in a Tudor I was underwhelmed with that I never wore + cash for a brand new omega seamaster 300 diver (2500, blue face, ceramic bezel) . I've owned numerous Rolex, Tudor, brietling watches in the past and always would lust over the omega divers but never got a round to actually purchasing one. I was able to strike a deal with a trusted seller from the Rolex forum and boom Tudor gone , omega on my wrist. So long story short I absolutely LOVE the sea master. I honestly love it more than the ceramic date sub I had, id say yes the sub had tighter tolerances , better steel, full in house movement (debatable which has a better movement) & possibly a better clasp, but over all I like the seamaster alot better and so far its a keeper for sure. Question is I noticed the ceramic bezel doesn't line up perfectly . Its not that the ceramic insert its self is slightly off set in the bezel either. Its the actual ceramic insert that seems to be cast slightly off . The 12 , 45, 15 indices line up perfect but then the 30 is slightly off of say half a second along with the 25 and 35 indices. . . Is this normal or did I get a blem ? Thanks!
I'll throw some pictures up, it came with all ad papers and cards, original box all wrapped up, in coffin from omega. I got it from Greg at caliber Swiss, his forum name is mosco
Thank you! .. Rotating it doesn't do much because half of it indexes well and lines up the half is slightly off
Its actually really hard to see in pictures but the 25 30 and 35 in the bezel is slightly off and a half a second to far counter clockwise .... Again maybe I am just being way to nit picky
Okay. I'm looking at mine and at first, they lined up with the exception of the 25. But I discovered I wasn't eyeing it at exactly 90 degrees, or plumb to the mark. You have to look directly over each number so it aligns at 90 degrees. Otherwise they appear about a half second off
Hmm it still seems to be off especially at the 35 about a half second. Idk why the pictures I tried posting didn't work . . I also didn't bring it up to the sellar because I had it sized then as it was on my wrist I noticed it ..... I guess I'll probably just live with it
If you scroll down a little and click on the thread "Tudor black bay vs omega smp" then look on the first page at Wilfred's smp he posted you will see the 30 and 25 look a little off. That's exactly how mine looks, I'm still working on posting pics
Congrats on your watch, I can't find what you mean on my watch, but maybe if you show some pictures, we can help
I hadn't noticed it, but it could be because the bezel is crowned/angled from the inner edge to the outer edge. At eye level mine are spot on at 12/3/6/9...
