Hello everyone, my name is James.

Last week i finally took the plunge and bought a new 41mm Seamaster professional 300m with the black face. I'm absolutely in love with it and being a huge James Bond fan i'm pretty chuffed to own the same watch as he has used :p The main reason for buying it though was i have always liked nice watches and i thought it was time i got myself a "proper" watch.

I have been wearing it everyday to work etc and it has already picked up some marks on the bracelet which doesn't bother me too much but i have noticed a very faint scratch on the face already! It's only noticeable at certain angles so nothing major. I can feel it though when i run my nail over it :(

I didn't buy this watch to keep in the box and never wear, i don't mind it getting marked but are these watches as durable as i have been led to believe? After spending almost £3000 on it i hope it will last plenty of time when used daily.

Hopefully some of you can reassure me a little bit :)

Congrats, wear in good health. The scratch on a saphire crystal is probably just AR coating scratch. Omega 300 has a double AR (anti relfex) coating on both side of the crystal that's why it looks so crisp and doesnt reflect light too much :) Dont bother and just wear that beauty :)

Congrats on your purchase - it's an extremely easy-wearing watch! :)
As @demollo says, it's probably "just" the AR coating that's been nicked, even though I wonder how it happened. They are pretty hard wearing, normally. Banged it against something?

Well i have quite a manual job, lifting things etc so probably caught it on something.. It isn't too bad, barely noticeable even when i'm looking for it. Will be more careful from now on :p

    Hi Super @Mario89

My name is @Mario89 James Mario !

James ! When You Run with your Omega You need to run like Daniel Craig....Compare his Superb Long distance running strides with that of Pierce Brosnan's chicken running... notice Brosnan never lifts his knees up!
Lets NOT Talk further about that Eunuch OK ?

King James ! Stay Rough & Rugged like Daniel Craig ! Yes James , scratches ,dents & patinas add more Bond Character ! If it makes you feel any better , i have a visible scar on my left temple so in the grand scheme of things your teeny weeny scratches are something you shouldn't even think about....

Daniel Craig is THE BEST BOND EVER !

( Please leave Sean Connery out of this because i had a crush on him ever since i was a little girl so Sean's not counted !)

This is James @Mario89 in Casino Royale. See the scratches on his craggy face !

    My Top 5 Daniel Craig's Bond movies[emoji41]

    #1 Casino Royale
    # 2 Skyfall
    # 3 Quantum of Solace
    # 4 Spectre
    # 5 Cowboys & Aliens [emoji12]

p/s I guess you already know Brosnan was the deadliest Bond ever...That Wus killed 135 people in 4 movies !
