Hi Guys, So I've recently brought into the vintage Omega club I've started the my collection with a Seamaster Quartz, which come fully boxed with certs, all match up to a local Jewelers based in Melbourne. I believe the watch year is 1983, with a 1332 movement inside although it does read 1337 on the back of the watch, any concerns? Its in beautiful condition, I know its not the rarest and most collectable of watches but I'm loving it. Any further information would be much appreciated, movement, value etc.. Many Thanks
Hi And Welcome. You have a nice example (not NOS or highly collectible as you noted) but a great daily wearer. Nice clean lines and a very functional dial. Overall it looks to be in excellent "worn" condition. And with box and papers you have a little added value, but more importantly, some provenance to the watch. I've had a few medicinal doses of the Scottish remedy to ease the pain of my, er, um, war wounds! (yes, that's it, "war wounds", always needs medicinal treatment ) So not in a real state to research and comment. I'm sure there are other quartz experts that will be able to help though.
Nice daily wearer. You need to give it a good clean and a service if it has not had one and it will look even better. Might even still be water proof. Find a good watchmaker and it will come up a treat.
