I stumbled across what I believe to be a new addition to the Omega website yesterday:

    https://www.omegawatches.com/accessories/nato-straps/product/

Omega has released a bunch of new Olympic-themed / country specific NATO straps.

A cool part of the linked section of the website is a new configurator that lets you see what each strap will look like on a variety of the modern Omegas that many of us own.

Kind of fun to play around with... the downside being that Omega continues to sell their straps at a price that I find very hard to justify, despite the relative quality being offered.

    Oh, and go Canada!

I like how there is no reference to countries or even Olympic branding on the hardware. Nice additions to the NATO collection!

To the best of my knowledge Shaun White is not an official Omega ambassador, but I find this rather interesting...

Definitely some examples there on why the current fashion for everything-on-NATO isn’t always good!

Agreed - there are a bunch that look nice on their own merits - not accounting for their relation to a country.

I know omega gives out Olympic watches to the athletes but I wonder if they delivered the watches with the strap related to the country the athletes represent? They gave out the quartz opaline aqua terra at the last olympics.

Watching men's curling right now, Canada and Switzerland and the Swiss team are all wearing Omegas on the red and white NATO's...

Have the boutiques received any of these new straps yet? I’ve been trying to get a blue NATO for 2 months from the one in Houston with no luck.

I live in Austin and called the San Antonio boutique to see if they had the Commander NATO as I heard those were up individually and they didn't know anything about them being sold separate from the Commander 300M. They did say they had the Spectre in black and the blue variatn as well, @texasmade . You may want to inquire if you don't mind the drive.

We have not received them yet, just anxiously waiting until they do.

    >"Let's create flag-themed NATOs to celebrate the Winter Olympics we've spent millions on sponsoring!"
    >"Okay, when will we have them ready?"
    >"Q1 2019."
    >"Okay, how about the Olympics-colored Seamasters?"
    >"Q3 2018"

    Omega planning in a nutshell

Just picked up the blue NATO tonight from the houston OB. I was also looking at the leather NATO but didn’t like the way it wore with the Seamaster 300 diver.

Ah good stuff, the new blue nato's are pretty awesome its a good neutral tone making it very versatile. The leather nato creates it to be very bulky, next time you're in come and say hi, and we would love to clean up and perform a diagnostic check on your 300 when you have some time and its completely complimentary we do it.
