Good choice for that watch -- the thinness of the fabric on the real-deal Omega NATO mitigates the unusual thickness of the watch case. You'll find that after about 48 hours of wear the folded-over part of the surplus strap will be folded quite tightly under the pair of keepers closest to the bezel.

I really liked the feeling of the band on my wrist, I like bulky / heavy watches and this nato made the watch feel top heavy on my wrist. Quick ? So the basic nato bands are really thick ? Why the expensive band that I bought more thin ?

    Looks spiffy, azruski777!

The Omega NATO straps are addictive...I recently purchased the Barenia leather strap and black coated nylon strap (1st and 2nd straps from left to right in pic below). I'm seriously considering getting some Omega stripes in the future...thanks for the pic of your stripes...good stuff.

I found that the Omega NATO strap (same colours as yours) holds my 42mm Planet Ocean quite snugly on my wrist. The main reason that I put a NATO strap on that watch is so that I can wear it over my bulky dry suit that I use for SCUBA diving (the water off the California coast is very cold so I rarely dive here in a wet suit, which the standard-issue rubber Omega strap would fit over just fine).

^^^ Like I mentioned earlier, that fold on the top will compress more over time.
