New Omega 2531.80 Available But Would It Need Overhaul Immediately?

I’ve found the above watch available with the tags, etc. still attached for a good price. My concern is that it would be 14 years old since Omega stopped making these in 2006. Having sat for that long, would it need to be immediately overhauled? Would the oils, seals, etc. still be okay?

Thanks.

probably needs an overhaul. it'll run, but the more you run it the more wear you will get on the parts, and you cant be sure of the waterproof of the watch.

If it’s going for an overhaul - make sure they don’t swap out the original tritium dial!

Chances are slim to none that after 14 years watch will be within Omega/COSC specification.
Still it may be a good deal to buy it, have it serviced and enjoy a nice classic watch in pristine condition.
You mind sharing how much the 'good price' is?
