Hi guys, I recently picked up a nice vintage Seamaster with it's original buckle and what seems to be the original box. I paid well below CHF 400 and to me it seems like a nice, not over-polished example. This one probably has the 501 cal. but I have not yet removed the back to inspect the beautiful movement. According to my research the watch dates from circa 1955.
What do you think, did I make the right decision or should I flip it?

Replace the crystal and you have a very nice watch that I'd call dibs on (after seeing inside, of course).

Do you reckon it's all original?

I'd definitely keep that one. Externally, it's a really nice example.

It is probably a 2846 and cal 501. I would probably keep it! Nice watch!!!
