I saw a picture from someone else who had done this, and realized I had a beads of rice bracelet from an old 60s Enicar watch in my box 'o straps, and decided to see if it would fit. I had to grind the end-pieces to 19 mm, but it was a pretty simple process. I'd rather have a 1039, but those have gotten WAY too expensive. So it's this for now, until I go back to wearing it on the leather NATO (see my avatar). Anyone else wear their Speedmaster on an unusual bracelet? (and I don't consider the 60s JB Champion bracelets unusual. Sorry).
sacrilegious. bout to have your Speedy card pulled by the author-a-tays . Wait .... @ulackfocus hates Speedys. Your good
I had an 1171 on mine. Much less expensive than the 1039. Functional and I didn't worry about desk diving marks...
I have my '65 Speedmaster on Omega Dynamic (from the 1990s) bracelet (see picture of the Dynamic below). The bracelet part number is 1570 / 870 with solid end pieces and it fits very well.
I like it. It reminds of trying a Speedmaster on a Rolex jubilee a few years ago. Sacrilege, I know, but it was a good change of pace for a day. -GW
