Hi Admins,
I have tried a few times over the last couple of weeks to change my avatar picture but everytime I try to attach the file the name shows but not the photo and the says oops something went wrong try again later or something like that.

Just noticed that smileys/emoticons are not working.
I select the little face and nothing.

Also noticed when adding and image, after it loads and I "insert" it only shows [ATTACHMENT], not a small image in the post like it did before.

Make sure the BbCode icon isn't activated in the editor toolbar. That could be it.

It's a dumb legacy "forum" feature. We tried removing it once, but it created more problems. We'll clean it up properly some day. 😀

Nooo! I wouldn't whinge if it got removed but I do use it, particularly if I'm replying to someone's big post and I want to cut their quote block into a couple of different blocks so I can reply to each section individually.

You can already do that simply by selecting/highlighting the relevant text, a "reply" frame will appear and you just select that.
Repeat ad infinitum.

Yeah I know. I just prefer working with the BB code editor. I guess I'm old school. Anyway, as I said, hardly a showstopper if it goes away.

Something wierd is happening with PNG uploads.

I just got a new iPhone. and upgraded to Sequoia. Usually I crop and scale using preview then export to PNG.

The last few images have come out too dark.

The workaround is to export to jpeg, then upload. But that can introduce compression artifacts.

I can see the failure in the upload preview. (which also only shows a thumbnail.) The images look fine on the computer. I suspect there must be something in the metadata what is causing this.

Yea we’re working on that atm that’s me turning it off temporarily to cope with some potential bot traffic scraping us for AI learning.

We've kicked it out entirely, along with all similar AI scrapers, mentioned it a bit here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/actual-casio-watch-1000-usd-designed-by-ai.184017/#post-2488567

There's also been some more performance tuning so the site should feel a lot snappier now that a third of the traffic most of the time, and up to 80% of the traffic during AI scraping peaks is now gone, and the servers have been improved as well to give a better user experience.
