A pleasant day to all! I'm Max! A long time collector and lover of horology!

I would like to consult you guys about this Speedmaster I was offered recently for a good price. There seems to be fading in the dial from 11 o clock to 2 o clock and a little at 3 o clock. Based on this, would you say this wasn't taken cared of?

I really like this watch and would like to ask what would be the remedy to this if I take it to the service center? Re-dial? Paint? Or should I just leave it? :)

    Everything else works great.

I would appreciate the help! Thanks in advance!

    Cheers!

    Max

    Hello Max and welcome.
One fo many possibilities is that the movement is not fitted correctly and move a little so the dial rubs the edges of the case.
    You have several choices :
    -change the dial
    - try to paint it on the edges knowing that the result may be not terrible.

Yes, you can try to paint the edges, but from my experience (I had a similar problem) every time you will look to the watch you will check the edges..:)

That's not a particularly valuable/sought after model. I wouldn't be buying one that had cosmetic issues unless I really couldn't afford a better. Even then I'd wait until I could afford a better one.
