    Hi All

I have read on this Forum a lot ut this is my first post.
I have a modest collection of 70s/80s Omegas.

A friend of mine bought this:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/omega-constellation-/162146040378Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

on ebay. I am almost sure it is a fake (Logo on dial and too cheap should it be 18k) but I am not an expert.Could anybody help?

Also for a pre bond seamaster (large quartz) I would need a pin and tube to fit a link. Any advice where to get such a thing?

    Thanks a bunch.
    Chris

Oh dear, that is a poor fake.

Your friend should have done a little homework and checked the dial spelling to begin with, "Costellation" on the dial would have perhaps given a clue as to the authenthicity of it.

Case markings are also fake, no gold in these.

I thought so, even though i must admit that I cannot even decipher the writing properly due to the poor quality of the pictures.

She hasn`t paid for the item yet. Many thanks.

Waht is the giveaway on the case markings?

Well to be honest everything about that watch screams fake. But FYI solid gold Omega's never have big hallmarks like that on the outside of the back case.

Another give away would be the "21 Rubis" on the dial, when at best the movement pictured has probably 7.

But you have to admit that 'Costelletion' is not too far off
