I have been looking for a stainless cased 34-38mm Seamaster for my wife and found this recently serviced 34mm 2759/2761 on ebay sans strap. It was listed as a '59 but when I looked up the SN, it came back as a '56. It looks it has had the crystal replaced as I cannot see a signed Omega logo. It has the correct ca420 for the model. No Swiss on the dial, but the 50s 34mm seem all over the map on this, however I can't find another watch with this same dial. I know they made a lot of different dials, but could it be a redial?

Looks redialed to me. Is the hand covering the S on purpose? The Es and As in Seamaster are inconsistent.

Definitely looks like a redial. The print quality is quite poor.

I am new to this “art” of identifying redials but one thing which seems to be hard to do properly is to have the same letters exactly the same. In particular, the “a”s in “seamaster” look different while on a legit example they are the exactly the same. The “m” also isn’t parallel on this one.

I am also not an expert at identifying redials and i like when i read threads regarding spoting redials and to be honest 50% i still get wrong 😀

Also the regulator is pushed over to retard which is inconsistent with being " serviced"

Here's a photo of my 1956 2761 in gold cap for comparison. This is a crosshair waffle dial version, but this is what the printing on the dial should look like on an authentic 2759/2761.
