Hi All, Just joined the site largely due to wanting to buy a watch. I like late fifties Seamasters and would like to find something decent. I thought I'd benefit from the knowledge here and indeed all the information is already proving useful in my search. I was also hoping I might be able to find something in the for sale section, seems I'm not able to access that. I'm not a collector or even an enthusiast, I'm just looking to buy a watch to wear and I like vintage Omega's, could anybody tell me if there's a way to proceed if I see a watch I like in the for sale section?
Reach out to the seller via messages, introduce yourself and offer some money. If the seller doesn’t mind your lack of feedback or forum presence, he’ll probably sell you the watch. Once the watch has been received - wear the heck out of it
Welcome aboard, we will be happy to get you on your watch journey. Set a avatar and get to know us by a bit of engagement in a thread or two. We have many threads from pets, food, drinking to what watches we wear daily.
Welcome to the forum, you will certainly find plenty of useful advice from the members here. It’s a great forum and you will easily find yourself sucked in and spending more and more time here, (not sure if that’s a good thing!). Whereabouts in Scotland are you? I grew up in Caithness, but have lived in southern England for many years. Enjoy your time here.
Thanks for the welcome, I'm in Argyll on the west coast. My avatar photo was taken not far from here, looking across Sound of Jura, those hills are the Paps of Jura.
Not yet at least. Welcome, stick around, you'll learn a lot. Late 50s Seamasters are great, especially on a beads of rice bracelet. Good luck with your search.
