Ah south Oxfordshire, where I spent my youth, my formative years before being whisked away to the delights of sinful London and the pastures of Kent.
I still visit the area regularly and enjoy the country pubs around Didcot and Wallingford after visiting my mother and brother who live there. Last weekend was spent revisiting an old fishing spot from my youth, no fishing for me just a camera to take the memories.
This is Days Lock at Little Wittenham on Saturday. I still think of the area as home even though I left many years ago.
Great photo! That鈥檚 not that far away from me 5-6 miles or so. Yes, it鈥檚 a beautiful part of the world alright.
Pubs- the Bell at Aldworth and the Black Horse at Checkendon are two of my favourites. They鈥檙e a real throw back in time.
Never been in the Black Horse but the Bell is a great pub, are they still serving 6X?
