Hodinkee just posted the new 2014 Longines Conquest Heritage 60th Anniversary edition from Baselworld 2014, a vintage re-edition in the original 35mm size, click through to see the details here on hodinkee.com
as if I didn't already have enough trouble telling the vintages from the heritage editions when scanning ebay....
By staying so accurate to the watch's legacy, its easier to see it as a continuum, therefore "1954-2014", as opposed to it being mere "replica", as some commentators have opined about re-releases of other watch companies. A pity that it should be a limited edition and not a mainstay though.

Super nice !!!! Longines did the right thing with this design. How come Omega could not do the same thing with its Constellation deluxe?
They have a couple nice ones as mentioned in the article, including a pink gold version. There's a Heritage 1935 Edition coming too.
I love these year's novelties and these 2 are my absolute favorite. But what's bugging me is didn't they already have earlier heritage versions of the Conquests? Is Longines just milking the vintage cash cow?
Well, I think it is about time that I treat my not so long acquired Conquest to a new plexi And while at it, could somebody please give me a hint about where can I get a proper crown for my newly acquired 291?
As someone new to Longines longing,...er, collecting (yeah, that's it!), I am impressed by the new models-classic style, clean designs, and great options (deluxe, RG, etc.). And at 35 mm, they will fit nicely on many a wrist (wait, someone will complain about them being "too small"...). Any ideas as to MSRP on the new models?
