Hi everyone, Calicollector here. I just joined the forum and know that most have rules and moderator/admins. Is there anything I should know before I start posting and make myself look like an idiot? Thanks all!
First post and you have an avatar already. You’re off to a winning start. Read the stickies - do some searches. Post about watches. Post farming and chasing 200 posts is an early gotcha.
You’re doing just fine so far. And as @oddboy said, we don’t judge or shame here....just watches we shame and judge.
@oddboy and @JwRosenthal Thanks for the positive feedback guys, already feel welcome! Where would I post this to learn more about it, its value and some other questions like what the dial is made of. I know a decent amount but this place seems to be the spot for expert advice!
Best bet is probably the Vintage Omega Watches forum. And if you want haven't already, grab a scotch and hit http://speedmaster101.com/category/blog/, especially the assessments guides and price chart.
I feel like there is so much info out there on the 69-st but not the 68-st. Your post was one of the most informative Ive read so far. Ill go post on the vintage forum and see what happens!
Better watch out, Stuart! @Alpha, not sure where he's grabbin'! #1 rule: pictures or it didn't happen! #2 rule: be honest and true to yourself and you will be loved. Mistakes are forgiven, polite requests are granted with pleasure, hard work and world class expertise.. #3 rule: bs us or cop an attitude and you'll be outed straightaway.
