I like the big crown if it was just a manual movement but its an automatic so kinda overkill.

    Not bad looking at all...

... But then again I think that you design today a watch that looks like watches did 50 years ago ... That's not really an achievement...:cautious:

-> milking a dead horse ? ... Might be a good phrase to describe it

I really like it. Although, it sounds a tad large for my preferences in that style watch.

I think Rolex is really different here as they keep making the same designs for 40+ years, with minor upgrades every 15 years... Same holds for the speedy.

Hamilton just pulled a Steinhart on themselves

I like bigger watches but i am not sure if this would look good at 42mm. Also i would prefer the subdials to be a little bit smaller.

Did omega pull a steinhart when they released the omega 300 homage a couple years ago?

Posted my thoughts on it here.

I do like the design, but it should have been 2-4 mm smaller. I have relatively small wrists and I don't think I will be able to wear this one.

I am amazed at all the hate this design is inspiring. Personally, I find Hamilton's recent original designs (in the pilot/chrono lines) to be gaudy, oversized, and often ridiculous. Here we have a classic design of their own in a conventionally sized 42 mm and it draws mostly ire. I was so excited when they announced the Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono, but the ugly date window, monster thickness, and stubby lugs combined to make that watch an epic fail for me. I'm sure it works for others. I say well done Hamilton on the Intramatic 68. I can't wait to order one.
