New guy here just checking in, and also just want to comment on the incredible body of knowledge I have seen so far on this forum. As someone who has recently fallen in love with mechanical watches, lurking on this site has already saved me from making mistakes on eBay that I'd later regret. In particular the thread with examples of fake omegas has been really helpful.

I'm going to keep hunting for my first Omega, hope to be able to post it here soon. I'm really into automatic Longines and Omega dress watches from the 60s, and of course lust after a Speedy... but that one might be out of my budget for the time being.

In the meantime thanks to all of you for creating this amazing resource!

    Welcome on board.

Don't forget to post possible purchases on the forum for vetting before buying.

Thanks all! Watch convention sounds interesting. Is that Baselworld you're referring to?

New guy into Longines autos from the 60's? Sounds like you're on the right track.
