To be honest I am absolutely satisfied with Omega customer service. Omega representative always replies to me within 24 hours and the question could be really stupid, but they always reply and always ready to help. In terms of customer service - I have no complaints (my experience).

2007, when Omega was in its infancy!

I’ve never had issues with Omega Customer Service either. I’ve had my original Seamaster midsize now for 16 years. It’s had two full services with Omega and about ready for a third. The last time I got it back after a few months it started running fast, about 20 secs a day. I took it back to my AD and he kept it and checked it out for a couple of days and said, yea it needs to go back. Omega gladly serviced it again and sent it back with another part of the movement in a little bag along with fresh seals. It has run just fine since then.

I read your post. Sorry you had a bad experience. It happens to everyone at some point. I hope you give Omega another try. Sorry for adding to your bad feelings.
That’s the bearer of bad news, lol as it happens. Sucks! I was hoping there was a good company out there that likes its customers. What happened to you????? And happy Father’s Day!

Thanks. No bad experience with Omega myself. I'm sure it can happen with any large company staffed with people. But my impression has been that they have good customer service. I have used their customer service contact through the web, as well as boutiques, with good results.

I had a bad experience with Gallet Service Center, but that's not worth repeating.

Yes meaning prior to becoming a huge powerhouse in the market. Only a troll would have a comment as they are too blind to see a big picture. Happy Father’s Day anyways.

Thanks for that! I really do like Omega but the bad experience has me on guard. Good
To hear something positive. Thanks for sharing and happy Father’s Day.

I dunno, Jody had me convinced at "I have simple facts." I'm a sucker for false consensus & projection biases.

Boeing needs help with their planes. Maybe you should move on.

Boeing has new tools now to help with their QC issues.

Should have zoomed the picture out so you could see the "whistle blower remover" sitting in the adjacent shelf space

That is funny. Honestly could care less if an internet person believes in my story. But thanks for the laugh. Still stuck on my next watch.

This has been extremely helpful as I am
Reconsidering Omega again. I do appreciate the shoring that is constructive and not the usual trolls on the internet with zero lives. The topic has always made me curious if my experience was common. I also am
Brutal on watches and go for more of a tool watch. Thank you!

I'm glad you liked my response! I thought it was pretty witty myself.

I'm also glad to hear that you are suddenly reconsidering Omega. My experiences with their boutiques have been exceptional; the one time I had any issue with an Omega watch they were able to take care of it at location without my watch having to be sent back for an actual warranty claim. Great customer service all around.

What Omega were you thinking about?

Planet ocean or Seamaster. The Seamaster is what I broke. I did beat the crap out of that watch and wired it daily in more altercations/ workouts/ raids/ trainings/ weapon use ect. It held up well, till it didn’t lol. My MTM broke a battery tab and that’s been it. Just need something extremely tough and weary.
Thanks for sharing your experience with them as it does help and the reason I came on here. And no you were not witty but I did laugh. Thank you for that.

Oh, I begin to see. Thanks for sharing.

No problem! I'm glad you found the observation accurate.

For what you're describing it sounds like you should look at Omega's Ultra deep line, especially the newer co-axials with the hi shock resistance and anti-magnetism, &c &c. Should stand up to whatever you might throw at it! The summer blue has a fantastic and unique dial.

Definitely steer clear of the standard Seamaster professional and speedy, they're really made for people who have office/service jobs, which is probably how your first one broke, just couldn't stand up to such an active and challenging lifestyle.

Omega is not that brand. You need Sinn; they're commissioned by various German gov't services for specific use cases: fire, air rescue, police, special forces. Made out of proprietary submarine steel which is anti-magnetic, then tegimented & DLC coated to be 5x harder than stainless. Shock resistant, magnetic resistant, etc etc
