The E1 epitomises the spread in personal preference around watch size.
I’m 6’1”, 230 lbs, with a 7-75” wrist and find the 39mm Explorer slightly too large to the extent I’ve considered swapping it for a 36mm.

Cool, he finally got the call!

How is this possible that this facebook dealer already got so many 2023 models in his inventory ?
It's just a photo from Watches & Wonders. Same table, tag with labels, and display tray as seen in the video below. You think Facebook dealers use gloves and a table that boutiques spend $$$$$ to have installed?

Finally got to see one of these in high-def pix — my AD got a few minutes with shortly after launch and provided an impromptu slide show while I was in last week, coincidentally as I was paying the balance on my EXP 36.

Looks good in the metal, though based on the pix alone I think I’d likely still prefer the proportions of the 36 overall, at least on my 6.75” wrist. The 40 seems like s a lot of dial — might wear quite differently on straps of course.

Looks like a great option for those with larger wrists or who prefer a larger dial without committing to the Big Pilot Experience.

I had thought briefly about swapping over to the 40 from the 36, even with the extra years of waiting likely incurred.

Not any more though. Good to have options, but having owned the wonky 39 and (in a few days) the 36, I prefer the EXP in 36.

With more than 36mm I'd purchase an oyster perpetual or air king. I know that some people have a limited budget.
