Dear all, It is our pleasure to announce the publication of a new English version of Moonwatch Only - 60 Years of OMEGA Speedmaster. This new edition is the fruit of new research and many updates, which we have been working on since 2014, when the first edition was printed. It was our wish to pull all this material together in a commemorative edition to mark the 60 years of the Speedmaster. The content has been generously enriched with : · 4 new chapters · 68 additional pages · 190 new photographs · Corrections and updates · Reworked chapters We also wanted to highlight the close tie between the Speedmaster and NASA. To achieve this, we invited the two most qualified people to write the « Speedmaster and NASA » and « The Alaska Project » chapters : · Petros Protopapas, International Brand Heritage Manager OMEGA, · Jim Ragan, retired Project Engineer and Program Manager at NASA, notably responsible for the selection and testing of astronaut equipment between 1964 and 1999, therefore including the Speedmaster. To celebrate this anniversary, 1957-2017, we felt it appropriate to include a new chapter reflecting the 60 years of innovation OMEGA has brought through fifteen or so Speedmaster models that differ from the Moonwatch in the strictest sense. We wish you an enjoyable read. Speedy Tuesday article this morning on our friends website FratelloWatches: https://www.fratellowatches.com/moonwatch-only-60-years-of-omega-speedmaster/ Greg & Anthony
And it covers the #speedytuesday LE Tried to pre-order but the website wouldn't let me add the book to my basket
Congrats to the authors! I cannot wait to see the updated version. Personally I'm dying to read more about the Mark Speedmasters and hopefully the Speedmaster 125.
Thank you Andy! Well this is only a chapter, hence not as detailed as the Moonwatch models. We would need to write an entire book for that... and yes the 125 is featured.
Five days to go... extremely curious to see if we will finally learn from the additional chapters how many Speedmaster chronographs were distributed to NASA in 1965, 1968, 1978 and 1990...
does anyone know when they start delivery? right after Baselworld or when? Preordered a copy like 2 weeks ago and to quote Tom Petty: the waiting is the hardest part!
Stay tuned for the new MoonWatch Only website... about 12 hours to go... http://www.moonwatchonly.com/
Sun should be up now in California! Anyway, I just want something like a neat mail, stating soemthing like"congrats preorder..delivery..around tomorrow"
