    Hi all,

have been collecting a few watches foe the last 15years, bit of this bit of that, whatever i like the look of but up until now just one Omega, a Dynamic. However, a bit of random ebay browsing led me to my new Purchase, seller has a good reputation and the Watch just looked ACE (to me eyes). Depsite lots of browsing onlline i have failed to find another that looks identical hence my concern its a "bitsa" (bits if this and bits of that).
    Any advice warmly received. Thanks Chris s-l1600 (1).jpg s-l1600 (3).jpg s-l1600 (4).jpg s-l1600.jpg s-l1600 (3).jpg

I can’t imagine Omega would release a watch with those numerals, surely?

Exactly, i can find Images of VERY similar Seamasters but none with those numerals. But its the numerals that i think look sooooo good.

I paid for the watch with PayPal and it even comes with a 1 year Gaurantee. So returning it shouldn't be an issue but would be a shame.

Omega obviously had much more imagination than you.

The only things I see of concern:

    Case is a bit worn/polished.
Crown may be an Omega replacement.
Dial has been re-painted (IMO), but numerals are original.

I also think that the dial has been refinished (with original numerals).
Since cal. 552 is an automatic (and ref. 14905 as well), the dial in its original condition would have said "automatic".

Edit: The dial might also have been transplanted from another watch...

I paid about 600 Euros for the watch, does the price reflect its condition and possible ... anomalys?

No idea with your questions but at that price I like it. I’d wear it myself, it looks lovely.

To be honest, if dial is redone -and that's also my guess but not sure- I think you overpaid it.
Anyway that's a nice watch to wear.

I haven't seen one like this but I wish I had. I'd be wearing it.

53 yrs old and looks sharp and clean. Even if it has been spiffed up, its omega and will look great wearing.

As for $$, IMO you could get your money back if you sold it. It has great curb appeal.
