I just picked up this 14381/7SC from 1960 on the bay for about $710 after shipping. The seller claims it was just serviced, and it has a correct Omega crystal. I am pretty certain that the crown is incorrect for this reference but I must say it winds and sets a lot easier than my 168.005 does. Since I am still pretty new to Omega how did I do? Is there anything glaringly wrong about the watch that I missed?
I see only cosmetic issues Is the tension ring golden or steel? 14.381s are probably my favourite Constellation reference - congrats!
The light speckling and discoloration on the dial is really the only thing I've noticed too. The tension ring is gold. Thanks, I am really digging the no date dial and the simple lug design, I think it is a great looking reference.
Thanks, these bad pictures are mine. I did have a little trepidation about the watch because the pictures in the listing weren't the best but the bidding stayed resonable and I think I did alright.
your pictures could be worse, at least they are mostly in focus, you just need to work on your lighting...
You should have seen the ones I took last night. The lighting was so bad I just deleted them all and waited until the sun was out.
