I recently picked this up from eBay as my new beater. To me it’s in pretty good condition, it keeps excellent time and has a really good power reserve.
I’ve never heard of the brand Difor though, anyone know anything about them?
Cheers, I couldn’t really find much information on it when I googled it. I did do a google image search and they have some pretty nice looking watches.
I also have a Difor from what I believe to be the late 60s.
As already stated its just a generic brand who disappeared some time in the 70s.
According to Mikrolisk Difor was registered as a TM in 1963.
Here's mine with a Venus 210 movement:

I bet that is an affordable reverse panda "to Difor". (Die for) ;-)

I got the same watch, didn't know anything about the brand, but it looked awesome, so I got it and I really like it.
This is what I could find:
The Difor factory was located in the centre of French watchmaking, Besancon. The company produces watches under three names: Difor, Difor Besançon, and Difor Suisse.
