Today this 1956 Flagship model 102 was waiting for me when I got home. I saw it on Ebay and the auction was almost over with no bids, so I just went for it without getting it first. I bought it for $299, did I get burned too badly?
Thanks guys, I was a bit nervous since I'm new to the world of Longines and didn't have the brain trust take a look see before I bought it.
I like the patina. I picked up a similar 101 on eBay a few days ago! It also came with the original box (I think). No photos handy though.
Good looking watch you have there. I like the patina on mine too, it was one of the things that drew me to it.
That is one of the coolest back cases ever!! I’m thinkig of getting one just because of that. Very nice catch, congrats!!!
@Kapka Wait till you see the ones in 18ct gold https://omegaforums.net/threads/18k-rose-gold-longines-flagship-automatic-ref-1503-reduced.35280/
They’re not too hard to find, but the engraving is often worn down because the ship is engraved very lightly
Indeed, but it will show up soon . I think that in general Longines are underated watches, especially ones from 60s.
