hi all, I picked up the central seconds 1948 Seamaster a few weeks ago but really wanted a sub dial version. Went on various waiting lists and was disappointed on a couple of occasions when I thought I was close, including knowing there was one in Florence when I was an hour away but couldn’t get there! However I found one on EBay, and after doing the due diligence (thanks for the advice from the forum) made the purchase. It arrived today with the original purchase receipts and all the original packaging. Very happy. Here is my collection and the two Seamasters. Will likely review the collection and may sell one or two but not sure which one yet. Maybe the 57 Speedmaster. Regards Josh
Thanks All. Appreciate the comment. Yes I am happy with the collection but think I need to scale back on the NATO usage a bit!!! Josh
That is a great collection. Wear in good health! And, yes, I looked at that collection of watches and thought, "There's not a single bracelet in that picture."
Ha. Yes. You are right. I actually only have one bracelet and that is for the PO but I found it made the watch very very heavy. Since then never had one. I do have some great leather straps that might have to go on the 57 or the Racing though. Josh
Thats a nice watch. Are these a limited release? I haven't been to an OB in a while, so im not sure if I would see one of these in the case
Hi Thanks. Hard to tell yet the central seconds looks great. I think because of the “Simplicity”. I have the sub dial on today and enjoying it so far. The leather strap needs to give a bit though . Josh
Those are very classy watches, congratulations. I can’t make my mind up which I prefer, so I like your plan of having both. Do you flip a coin to see which one to wear each day?
