This 2990-1 Ranchero just arrived in mostly original splendor. The poor man's Railmaster which was produced for a short period of time is Circa 1958. Movement number 1636xxxx is correct. Caliber 267. Dial is original radium. Minute and Broad Arrow hour hands are correct original. Polished? Maybe? Don't see any evidence of swirls and the edges are sharp. Crown is original. Only the seconds hand is off. Should be a white hand. This silver hand was correct for the white dial Ranchero. Who can be sure, especially from 1958?. Sourced NOS white hand from Watchco and it is on the way. Special thanks to Rancheo Bosses @pitpro, @Steve1haggart and @kox for their pre purchase input. The only major issue is that, until this purchase, I had avoided a 36mm Omega as they were deemed too small. Turns out, they are not and this opens me up to Constellation purchases.........could be a problem indeed. My recent purchase of OJTT doesn't help either. Below is the 36mm Ranchero flanked by 38mm Railmasters 2914-1 and 2914-4 Here are more pics of the Ranchero.
First Speedys, then BTs, then the GOAT (technically the first) .........I'm sure glad I don't collect Constellations! Congrats on the great score!
Lovely pair of Railmaster and the Ranchero is the icing on the cake . Congratulations Marc. Mines says hi to its brothers. Ps, please don't go buy them all up leave some for us mortals.
Constellations are MUCH smaller than that You really don't need to bother yourself collecting them Nice catch BTW
