The Speedmaster Pro Gemini IV Limited Edition From 2005 is a piece I've always admired, I actually visited an Omega dealer in 2009 and found one still in the display case but the dealer closed down before I had a chance to purchase it. The Gemini IV is one of the few LE's made in rather small numbers, with only 2005 pieces made and is one of the few pieces like the Snoopy and 35th Anniversary Apollo 11 that have held their value or exceeded MSRP as they've aged. I also just loved the design, the subdials are a metallic silver with the typical concentric rings of the Speedmaster line and catch the light beautifully, but the metallic blue sunburst dial with alternating outer ring is amazing to look at, and rather difficult to photograph. Add that an applied rhodium plated Omega logo, rhodium played hands, subdial hands, and hour markers and you get a panda dial Speedmaster that looks truly brilliant. I managed to pick this one up at a great price with no marks at all, and as a full set with box and papers, its just missing some links which unfortunately make it too small for me to wear but I should score some of George shortly. In the mean time... the 1171 bracelet and 633 endlinks off my 145.012-67 are a perfect fit as can be seen in the last couple of pics. Great thing about Speedmaster Pro's, the parts are nearly all compatible

At this point it will likely be this one (3565.80) and my first Cal 321 (145.012-67) the third one is on Stefan's desk and could need some parts for its chronograph to reset correctly.
Nice pickup. This will be the LE I will have of I am to buy one. Love that blue dial. If I may ask, courtesy of George?
No actually it was a local one, found it in the classifieds and it was just fate, in my area and very well priced. For some reason, watches have a tendency to want to find the people who want them, its a weird thing but there are plenty of guys that will attest to it. I did want this one for a long time, and I needed a modern Speedmaster that I knew was water resistant and would be fine in a rainy day. This one fills both roles for me. The dial really is brilliant, I was stirring my baked beans for dinner (I'm going to be eating baked beans on toast thrice a day for 2-3 months now) and it caught the light in a certain way and I stopped to stare at it, there's more going on in the dial than any other watch I own, yet at the same time its extremely clean.
If you saw it in person you'd change your mind about 42mm Speedmasters man, the metallic blue sunburst with silver concentric subdials is just gorgeous
