I recently bought this relatively rare red dial Aqua Terra, I think this is also referred to as the Marui LE model 2503.60.00 (over the department store’s name in Japan), and I thought y’all might be interested in seeing some pics - since there aren’t many on the internet. I have not been very active on OF but I am hoping to change that. I have tried to capture the red accurately (the first photograph captures it pretty well) but it is just incredibly difficult to photograph as compared to real life. Please excuse any dust on the crystal. It is a deep but vibrant red. The size at about 39mm and 11mm makes it eminently wearable and I like the displayback too. Legibility is really good despite the dark dial as the hands and markers shine through. I think I will be wearing this watch on dressier occasions. I will be rotating these two a lot, and here’s a wrist shot: I have a very small collection (just 2-3 watches) and I was skeptical about adding a red dial but this is just a beautiful watch (and I like red) so I think I will make it work, though this is probably not a watch for everyone. It will likely stay on the bracelet for most of the time but I will definitely be trying a few straps, leather/canvas (will update thread when that happens). It is definitely a unique dial color and will make for some interesting strap matches. Here is my current collection with my vintage Submariner 16800 (no cyclops) and a MKII Key West. I also have a vintage Seamaster DeVille (1969) but the wife has been wearing it. I believe the case diameter for all three are between 39-40mm.
Didn't even know this existed. Red Omegas are something of a rarity overall to me. Nice find, congrats!!!
On a Hirsch Lucca Black/red (since I haven’t resized one of these older pin collar bracelets in a long time)
Interesting watch, I do like the red dial and it looks even better on the black strap with red stitching
I've never heard of or seen an Aqua Terra with a red dial, but it's safe to say that it's quite a looker. Congratulations!
Whoa! Very cool! Being a guy who’s always blabbing on about how the AT/Railmaster 2500 are among the best 3-handers Omega has done in decades, I can’t believe I didn’t know about the red one. Cheers!
