And for a change it’s not a vintage Omega. He arrived about two hours ago at my daughter’s farm in Kansas. Mom and son are doing fine.
Typical baby. Nurse, nap, repeat. Amazing, though, how quickly they get up after being born and learn to use those four very long legs. He's going to be a big one. First Mom and son family photo. His name is Drogon.
We've owned horses since my daughter was an infant. I've dissuaded many a parent from purchasing a horse for their child by describing it as a car payment that never ends. My daughter owns her own operation now and it's a genuine pleasure to see her in her element. She absolutely loves what she does for a living. Not too many of us can say that.
Something so majestic about horses. Such a beautiful animal. Good on your daughter she probably doesn’t even think of it as work.
He’s testing his legs this evening by running back and forth in the stall. His mother is one step behind him all the way. If she could talk, I’m sure that her neighing would translate as “Stop doing that!”
My wife has tears in her eyes! Well actually so did I! Absolutely amazing! Thanks for making our night!
[QUOTE="gbesq, post: 1760215, His name is Drogon. Great name! Too bad you couldn’t talk them into “ Steedmaster “
