Just got this in and already really crazy about it. Came with the 1170 bracelet, box & old warranty, no sales slip. In pretty good condition, correct hands ( you can't get the correct minute from Omega anymore) and original blue dial with metal hour markers. Really serviced and keeping very accurate time. The Sunburst pattern (Starburst for you Canadians :D ) is also in great shape. Rate it about a 95. This is a wearing watch for sure. I have it now on a freshly peeled Blue Alligator, 22/22mm, from Panatime.com. Buckle is a 22 ARD Titanium, screw in bar. Below are some band choices, what do you think of them?

With Panatime 22/22, Flight, Calf leather,
This had white stitching that was conveniently changed to blue
with the help of a blue fine tip Prismacolor Premier permanent marker :D

The blue gator with white stitching looks the classiest, but that calf leather flieger strap looks badass.

    The real Bond ;) .007
I love that watch though it looks very 70ies and not that classic as a Speedy.
My fav strap is the mesh for those

I agree with Dennis, I definitely like the blue alligator, with contrast stitching looks best to my eye.
Nice strap on a very watch. The dial and strap just go together...IMHO.

I like the original bracelet. Or i'd have it on a black Omega racing strap. Nice.

    Lovely!
Keeping mine on a black racing strap with blue contrast stitches. They do look mean on a mesh!
I envy your minute hand. My 007 stopped by Omega several years back and was "awarded" a replacement hand which you will see on most 007's these days. Your original pointed minute hand is really cool! I would pay well for a correct one if any has one for sale:whistling:
Most 007's comes with the white outer ring, mine has a blue ring with blue dial. Was this market specific, or something you could opt for when buying it?

Don't know about the market specifics but I have read accounts of people sending these into Omega and having them come back with different rings, dials as well as hands. Like the Honeybadger, "Omega don't care" :D

Like the blue alligator. Mesh looks very good too after seeing BASE1000's example.

Beautiful. My favorite chrono other then the Speedie. Personally, I prefer it on the metal bracelet!

Cool watch, cooler on the straps!! I personally like the blue alligator. The flieger strap gives it a different look...would need to see it on the wrist to make a decision...Oh, and be sure to have a few tats on that wrist, eh??

I have seen this also. For the hands this is a known issue since the original 007 hands are no longer available and Omega use their "best fit" guide.
The reason for replacing the hands I guess is to get fresh lume, in my case I could not care less for fresh lume.
For the outer ring I was extremely skeptical before buying my 007 since most seemed to have the white outer ring when there was a blue dial. The picture in the Omega Vintage Database settled the case for me:

Very nice! I'd go with the blue strap combo as my number one option......and let my neighbor's dog play with the brown strap :)

I think the cost of restoring this one will be higher than buying a decent one in the first place. The rust on the case would at least put me off.
In my opinion the 007 is a great watch. Mine gets loads of wristtime.

I thought it was time I put the other 176.007 in this thread - the GP version. It has an amazing dial that varies in colour between gold and grey, depending on how the light is falling on it (it is difficult to describe, but almost holographic)

Blue 'gator or original bracelet for me, Steve. Nice one!

The white contrast stitching really accents the white outer track on the dial.
