Hello dear Longines lovers! I just bought this lovely piece and wants to share it with you. (The pictures are the sellers and I will post better ones shortly.) I intend to clean it, maybe polish the crystal and attach a new strap. According to the serial it should be manufactured in 1954. The case should be approx 34 mm.

I love the dial and as seen there are some cracks in the lacquer, but no severe damages. In all a fine vintage dial and quite unusual on the market.
I asses it as all genuine - opinions are much appreciated :)

    Here are some pictures...

Here is a slightly earlier one (not mine). It is neat to see that the case-back and crown of this example lack branding. I am also a fan of the distinctive second hand on the one below. Edit: I will add the word bullseye for ease of searching in the future.

I just edited the title :D By the way, should I let the second hand remain in the corroded condition?

I don't mind the corrosion, though the photos are not entirely clear.

    Great find! Congratulations! :)

Put a yellowish tone strap on that to match the lume and it will look superb!

I noticed that the case (35 mm) is actually chromed. If you look at the left upper lug, one can see the base metal (tiny mark.) Apparently ref 6264 came in stainless steel or chromed versions. Well, here is the watch on a new strap. :)

Interesting, that the case is chromed. An earlier reference 5192 also came in both chromed and steel cases.

I agree, it´s interesting. From what I have learned and experinced, the chrome plating that Longines used was of high quality. Many low budget watches from the era suffers from poor chrome plating. Even more expensive watches can sometimes be seen with poor plating.
