full disclosure, this watch used to be mine https://omegaforums.net/threads/universal-geneve-1940s-ss-tri-compax.27715/ and yes
It was authenticated by Crown And Caliber and written up in watchville. Not a redial. This will be in my collection for good.
For good sounds like a long time ... I presume that means that someone with very deep pockets needs to come along and make you a very lucrative offer ?
Great watch. What is the serial number of yours? Never saw this kind of hands before. Quite iconic watches, these early Tri-compax!
I agree iconic and absolutely classic. First saw two pristine gold models in a Paris shop last October. The owner (brother of a colleague) not part with either as he did not think they would get good servicing in the US but I did get him to part reluctantly with a nice Speedy 2998-6. Since then I've wanted a Tri in my collection and the chance to get one in steel at a reasonable price was too tempting to pass up.
