'Good to 20,000 feet. I may need to get one. It does not say how thick they are though. Wondering?

If I'm not mistaken, the brushed ceramic bezel (of the titanium model) is something never seen before.

The laser marked case back looks cheap as. $12,000 and my first gen. PO has a nicer case back than that does. Wtf?

In comparison, the Rolex DeepSea is 17.7mm… but totally worthwhile for an added 2,100m!! 👍😉😗

Ops. They say Titanium is 18,12 mm thick, but it does have the "manta lugs", so you will sport some millimeters more upon your wrist (the thickness of the NATO strap) 😉

The 8500 Planet Oceans had matte ceramic bezels.

So this brushed (not matte) bezel is a new feature, or not?

So, I am curious, which model is your favorite one in this new line up??

I put my name down for the Manta Ray Ti model at my local OB because it is the “closest” to the prototype model that went down to the bottom of the Mariana Trench… although I still have to mull over the asking price. 😒

My favorite is the Manta Ray Ti model too, and have notified my watch guy. I also have the Rolex DSSD 126660 and love it. But, I was hoping Omega would produce the Ultra Deep Manta Ray Ti. The O-Megasteel, blue dial on metal bracelet is too close to the DSSD. The Ti version is unique and will make a nice addition to the collection.

I like the new bracelet/clasp design. It has more taper and the clasp looks better integrated. I’m hopeful that it can be retrofitted to other watch heads—like my 45.5 PO 2500D—with the correct end links.

Same here. Hope to try on the Ti and the steel version.

My favorite is the Ti version. It is by far the most interesting of the bunch, with the Manta lugs and no crownguards. I'm curious to see them at the OB whenever I get the chance. The steel versions look a bit too Deep Sea-ish... And the other guys did it first...

Am I a buyer ? Certainly not at that price. Frankly speaking it is just a curiosity and (IMO) as much a concept watch as it's predecessor. There is no real life scenario where any human could need those specs. 1000m is over-engineering, 6000m is solving problems no human being will ever have.

One interesting development, though, is the absence of the He valve. The watch is advertised as intended for saturation diving, meaning it is He intrusion proof. Not a first (the Ploprof, the 1000 and the Seiko Tunas are like that too), but interesting nonetheless. I would love to see this feature migrate down to a normal PO.

The brushed ceramic bezel also looks nice, and very tool-ish on a Ti watch. But this one below also has a brushed ceramic bezel (and fully lumed) for quite a bit less $.
