Never seen this bezel before - Super Kontiki

Hi OF

I just received my latest purchase - an Eterna Super Kontiki 130 FTP. I bought the watch because I just love that dial and thoose hands. It’s difficult to see on the pictures but in daylight the dial is more tropical than black.

But the bezel looks different - I have never seen such a bezel before. Can anybody help with an explanation on how to use this bezel?

Thanks - and Happy New Year.

It is a decompression limit bezel in feet. Here is mine, in meters.

Max time at depth bezel. Set at start point and 5 minutes at 200 etc.

Set triangle with minute hand, once your max depth crosses the indicated depth with the minute hand you come up.

old school and not the safest by modern standards.

And a Jenny-cased Haste that has the whole friggin' dive table on the bezel. Sorry, I may have posted this previously, but these bezels are really enigmatic.

60 minutes at 21 meters is alot more then a 8 minutes at 5 meters... something else is going on with that.. I need to figure it out.

60 minutes at 21 meters will require 8 minutes decompression at 5 meters. That's how you read it.

The other bezels are putting the no-deco limit for 21m at 50-55 minutes or so, so it's fairly consistent. Just much less conservative than current dive tables.

I get it now. It’s a dive timer and then a chart. You don’t match the timer. I was still doing that.
