$500k watch that, with a push of the Eighth Note pusher, plays a MoonSwatch advert?

Maybe you can stop the time, and acoustic gongs tell you the time elapsed ;-) Not sure if that was ever done.

Ha - seems my guess was right? 😎

Guessing these aren't made of plastique and are going to be spendy?

To have a chrono chime in it’s catalog is very unusual at Omega’s price level classification. The brand will be even more premium in near future I’m guessing. Regarding the watches I must say I’m amazed. Design of the watch, new box, how minute repeater located etc. all excellent. Congrats! That’s a really big move for Omega.

It’s not a new thing for Omega to target the high end like this, they had tourbillons in the 1940s which they then sold in the 80s for a great deal, and the central tourbillon and Armin Strom skeleton models were always extremely pricey.

I don’t think it changes their bread and butter production but is more of a halo product like the central tourbillon of recent years to demonstrate their credentials as a manufacturer.

Blancpain designed and built movement, Omega puts their name on it. Omega definitely going upscale, there is plenty of money to be sopped up at the tippy top and Omega wants their piece of it. An impressive piece overall. I wonder if a column wheel is in that baby?

Personally, I think it's a straight up, impressive, move from Omega.

Yea it definitely had Blancpain fingerprints on it being a musical complication but that’s the advantage of Swatch, they’ve got incredible movements in Blancpain / F.Piguet, the best materials scientists and engineers at Comandur SA and an expert in every field to lean on.

If when you said “spendy” you meant
>$400,000, then you nailed it!

I’m imagining an F1 team principal wearing this trolling his mechanics at pit stops by going “ding ding ding ding” slow pit stop boys.

The two videos are on YouTube:

My favorite part about this video is Omega leaning into the vintage Omega logo on the Olympic version complete with the matching font at the end.
