Good Evening, Does anyone have any documentary recommendations for me to watch this Sunday night (any topic)? Doesn't necessarily have to be on Netflix. Thanks.
Some series suggestions.... If you want a newer series (Episode 5 airs tonight), watch West World on HBO. I got hooked immediately. If you want to stick on Netflix -Marco Polo -Daredevil -Scrubs(my favorite)
The Winding Stream (about one of the founding families of American country music, the Carter Family) Fiction but fun: Sense8 (on Netflix) Embarrassed for enjoying so much: Difficult People (on Hulu) Other shows I enjoy: Sherlock, Suits, In Plain Sight (I miss this one so much!)
Documentary about Jan Morris https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Morris Was on BBC world news last night. Interview by Michael Palin. Only caught last 5 min but looked really good. Should be on iplayer some how I'm sure. Movies based on true events, documentary style : Buena vista social club City of God. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
I watched the movie from 1973 about a week or so ago...what seemed very cool when I was a kid was pretty lame today... The series I am enjoying very much - no spoilers please as I have not yet watch last night's episode...will do that tonight...
On documentaries "The Seven Five" is great. So is "Dancer" although I'm.not sure if that was Netflix or Apple
Black Mirror. Scary and distopian in the style of Twilight zone. Explores the dark side of where our tech is taking us. Darkly funny at times but mostly haunting. Impossible to binge watch.
I presume if you're asking, it's because you've already seen most of the popular ones but here goes Fargo Hannibal The Good Wife Vikings Scream Modern Family is great after watching the Walking Dead The Knick Just started watching Raiders of the lost Art. I've only watches one show so far but I will watch the others. It's a documentary about paintings, thiefs, etc. I also enjoyed Chefs Table and Cooked. Hope you find something
Documentaries(Netflix & Free): The 13th Exit Through the Gift Shop Amanda Knox Fastball Knuckleball Restrepo Senna The Wrecking Crew Making a Murder (series) Jiro dreams of sushi The Act of Killing Top Gear (series) How to survive a plague And many, many more. If you have Hulu that opens up the entire Criterion catalog as well as OJ Simpson: Made in America. Happy viewing
