Up for sale is this discontinued circa 1990s all-steel Audemars Piguet reference 25807.ST.O.1010.ST.01 Royal Oak Offshore Triple Date full calendar. This is an uncommon Offshore not only because it was produced only for a relatively short time and has a cool complication but also because, while it has the tank-like build of the Offshore model line, its more conventionally sized case means you don't have to be an NBA power forward to comfortably wear it. It comes on its long, original and beautifully constructed steel bracelet and has a very low production number, indicating a manufacture date sometime near the model's genesis circa 1996. This cult ROO features the highly regarded Jeager-LeCoultre derived caliber 2127/2827 automatic winding Triple Date calendar movement that was fully serviced last year through a certified AP dealer to the tune of over $1k. The service documentation is included in the sale. It was also recently checked by them for accuracy and power reserve and found to be running strong. Therefore the watch will come with a 6-month movement guarantee for all normal, non-abusive use. No safe queen, this Royal Oak appears unpolished and shows wear commensurate with regular use over its nearly 20 years. To my mind that means you don't have to worry about babying it and can just strap it on and go, though of course the new owner may also choose to have the case refinished depending upon their own personal aesthetics. It features Mint original Tritium dial & hands and overall the watch is in Very Good to Excellent neo-vintage condition.

The asking price for this hard-to-find 90s era AP ROO Triple Date is $7650 USD OBRO, which includes fully insured FedEx shipping worldwide. Payment is by Bank Wire only and directly to my consignor on this transaction. Payment must be made in US DOLLARS. Watch will ship upon full clearance of the funds, as well as any necessary bank vetting. Please contact me at [email protected] for all inquiries.

CASE, BACK & BEZEL: Rare mid-sized steel Offshore 3-piece case measures approximately 40mm across including the crown guards, about 37.5mm directly across the bezel and approximately 12.5mm thick. The heavy case with trademark visible gaskets appears unpolished showing its original satin finish with factory chamfers. There are some scratches and small nicks from use but overall the case is Excellent for a nearly 20-year-old watch. The prominent and chunky faceted bezel, held in place by 8 white gold screws, also does not seem to have been polished but shows more wear with numerous nicks and small dings to its high edges, as well as scratches to the brushed finish -- Good to Very Good condition but obviously plenty of metal to work with if you want to have it refinished. The caseback is very clean and unpolished with only some minor scratches and a bit of wear to the white gold screw heads. It is easily Excellent+ with all correct Royal Oak Offshore/Automatic and "D" Serial Number nomenclature present and crisp. Note also the very low model number of 25, making this one of the earlier batches of 25807ST produced and probably dating the watch to the model's introductory year of 1996.

DIAL & HANDS: Characteristic stunning Royal Oak charcoal-black "grand tapisserie" (aka "waffle iron") guilloché dial with white gold applied AP logo at "12" and luminous filled markers, as well as framed windows for the day & month and outer numeral track for the date--simply a beautiful and Mint original dial with a nice hint of patina to the Tritium lume and a crisp "Audemars Piguet" signature printed in white above the calendar windows. White gold hour and minute "paddle" hands are likewise Mint and also show a pleasingly subtle patina to their luminous fill. Large arrow-tipped white date pointer is also Mint. The small seconds hand has a tiny flaw visible under louping, Near Mint. Just a wonderful layout on this cool ROO triple date!

MOVEMENT: Under the hood is the Jaeger-LeCoultre derived AP caliber 2127/2827 automatic triple calendar movement with 36 jewels, 38 hours of power reserve, 21-karat gold edged oscillating rotor self-winding in both directions, shock protection and hack-setting of the time. The watch is keeping very good time and the quicksetting of the month and date activated by the sunken corrector buttons on the crown side of the case operate as they should, as does the setting of the day via 24-hour rotation of the hands in either direction. As stated above, this great movement was recently serviced in May of last year through The Timepiece Collection, an AP authorized dealer in New Jersey, and they have also recently followed up with a thorough examination of the watch and found it to be operating perfectly. This complicated Royal Oak will therefore come with a 6-month movement guarantee for all normal non-abusive use. As with most of these sorts of Triple Date movements, DO NOT use the quickset date & month correctors when the watch is between 10pm and 2am or you could damage the mechanism.

CROWN: Correct signed hexagonal screw down rubber-clad steel crown sits perfectly between the angled crown guards, screws down tightly and pulls out to the hacking time setting position as it should.

CRYSTAL: Near Mint flat sapphire crystal with no scratches and just a hint of roughness to some of its edges visible with a loupe.

BRACELET: This Royal Oak Offshore comes on its terrific original AP-signed first generation steel bracelet with butterfly style clasp. It is very tight and currently quite long, so should fit up to a 7 3/4" wrist with 6 removable screwed links for sizing down. It has some scuffs and minor scratches from desk diving but overall is Excellent.

EXTRAS: Accompanying the watch will be the service receipt from Timepiece Collection documenting over $1,000 worth of work, a very nice snap together AP brown leather travel case and a slim leather AP wallet with green and white accents.

As a matter of policy, I make NO guarantees for the water resistance of this watch. Please have it pressure tested again if you plan to use it for aquatic activities.

This great AP Royal Oak Offshore is offered with a 3-day inspection period from the date of receipt and may be returned for a full refund (less any shipping costs incurred by the buyer). This refund is unconditional and once I get the watch back in exactly the same condition as it was sent to you, your money will be refunded. Of course, once the 3 days are over the sale will be considered FINAL.

    Thanks for looking,
    T.
