I don't know anything about these but...... that movement looks awfully plain for a high dollar watch, small date window doesn't seem to fit the heavyweight nature of the piece, level of finish on the case seems average at best, more like a hundred dollar watch than something that cost close to 10Gs new. I'd be very careful!
If you are asking if this is a real/fake Panerai, I would suggest the only place you buy any watch is at a well known AD for whatever brand you are looking at buying. Otherwise you are risking your money...
So I can shed some light here - for a long time homages of Panerai sported "Marina Militare" on the dial. Lots still do, but their legality is a whole lot more murky because Richemont registered the phrase "Marina Militare" as being a trademark of Panerai, regardless of it being the name of the Italian Navy forever. So at that point having "Marina Militare" on the dial of a Luminor style or Radiomir style watch became a no-no over on WUS (and other places?) because it became a registered trademark. These are available lots of places brand new for around $100.
What he said. It really takes a minimum of research, like 1 min, to find out that it is not a Panerai. It would be great to know that you yourself actually do some research before asking around hoping for people to spend time helping you. And please do not take this the wrong way. My meaning is the same as Mr. @tyrantlizardrex in your other post.
Well various regions of Italy do have a pretty rich history of sailing. I think they even have a city that is basically built in the water But as far as military applications go, I hear ya. But I've visited Naples before and seen quite a few Navy ships.
The movement is a generic automatic movement found in millions of replica watches. Japanese movement but it keeps decent time. Replica is my call.
it big and its ugly ... my guess its genuine (ok, that was a joke - I know nothing about those or B&R, etc...)
