Hi! I have recived these 2 watches from my uncle, but i don't know how much they are worth, maybe you can help me:

1) Seamaster Omega 1950



2) Moonswatch Omega 1971

 

Looks like you have an above average uncle!

 

Why? Unfortunately I have no idea of Watches.

 

If you do a search on eBay, you can find out pretty easily what they are going for. Have a watchmaker remove the back and write down the movement number and the reference number of the Seamaster, you'll have everything you need. The uncle thing is sort of a running gag on this forum.
At least once a week someone shows up here and shows a watch he got from his uncle and in 99% of the cases these are ugly fakes.
In your case they look like the real thing, even though the Speedmaster might need some TLC.

I would say the seamasters worth about $800 and the speedmaster worth about $3500. That's just a guess though. Your lucky.. I would keep them.

If you want to keep them, they are both very nice watches, and are worth getting repaired, and will last another lifetime.

If you are looking to get values to sell them, just say so, and I am sure some members will submit offers, especially on the Seamaster...as it looks pretty sweet.

As others noted, the Speedy needs some tender loving care, and would not command anywhere near what a great example would, even in this market. Spacefruit's "running" assessment is the best number for estimate that you will get. ebay will tell you market prices, but factor in them taking 13% after fees.

Is the strap on the speedmaster an authentic omega? Is it shark skin?
