    Hello,

It has been a while since I've been attracted by this watch, yet it is pretty rare to come across one of these lately.
Nevertheless I have found this example and I wanted your thoughts on its conditions.
    Here are some pictures :

In my opinion, the case is overpolished and the ink from the bezel is missing. Is it possible to correct those problems ?

    Best regards

Yes, by waiting to find a better condition one for sale. ;)

Honestly, an overpolished case might be able to be refinished successfully, but you have to look at how much that would cost vs the overall value of the watch.

As you wrote - the case is overpolished.
Is the dial original? The hands could be changed already.
    When was the last maintenance?
    Is the watch waterproof?

    Rarely seen these days...
I was invited by FORTIS to take a look at their early 1992 chronographs, which were tested by Roscosmos and shipped back with Russian Space Agency papers, signed by the General of StarCity.
In 2018, after FORTIS changed ownership, the current owner found these 42 chronographs in the safe... what a collection !
I was even shown the gold versions, as seen on the wrist of NASA astronaut David Wolf in photo S98-13530

Extra news: As the FORTIS building sits in scaffolding, the FORTIS watch museum will be opened by the summer of 2023 !
