I have 2 speedmasters that i have had for sale on ebay. All i have recieved are in my opinion low offers. I priced them for what i thought was fair but i was on wus and was told my asking prices were too high. The first one is a Apollo 11 40th anniversary edition. I was asking $3700.
The next is an 18k gold speedmaster on a black leather strap. I was asking $6200

You can search eBay for completed listings to see what others have gone for.

    Welcome,

Do they come with original box with papers? If the opinion of someone who isn't in the market for either watch counts, your prices seem in line, to me. Stick to your guns! Someone on this forum might come along with a comment, or even an offer.

When someone offers something for sale, to some, it appears as though you no longer want it. There are those whose offer is calculated to find out how badly you don't want it! I wonder if Omega having virtually flooded the market with limited edition this, and limited edition that, has anything to do with it?

Well i had them on ebay twice and i had based my prices of previously sold watches hoping i would get the same if not close too those. I had my asking price or best offer and every offer was way lower than i wanted to go.

If you really want to use e-bay to sell your watches then a no reserve auction is the best way to go.
You will always get full market value.

I never gave any thought to the limited edition side of it. I know i have seen some speedy's go for 1200 to 1500 but they weren't limited editions. Even if the apollo watch goes for lower than i would like the gold one shouldn't go for too much lower.

I'd say your asking prices aren't unreasonable. Maybe you should do as suggested above, no reserve.

No reserve auction is not always the best. It often works out great for the sought after items, but there was at least in one instance, a Ploprof with a great history sold quite lower than the average going price. If your prices are in line with past sold prices on eBay then I don't think you overprice your watches. Just stick to your gun if you're not in a hurry, and be patient.

I agree that no-reserve auctions can be risky. I don't know how you responded to the low offers (if at all), but I know that many people make low offers with the expectation that the seller will make a counter-offer.

If you think that is the lowest price you are willing to accept, just leave it on ebay and wait.

Both watches are going to be bought by people looking for those exact models so will take a bit longer than a plain old speedmaster. Hang out a bit and stick to your guns

Post the pictures you've used in the advert, it could be because of low quality photographing, etc.

You haven't found the right buyer yet. I'm sure the offers are from bottom dwellers (like me) looking for a steal. I never bid on watches with a reserve. You can try a buy it now listing or simply start a standard auction at your lowest price. Keep in mind that there will also be fees. Selling here is free.......

Everything I have ever sold on ebay i have started at 99p with no reserve. When I am a buyer i am put off by "Reserve not Met" and move on. I have never been disappointed in the final price achieved although have had some sweaty-palm moments in the final minutes.
99p and no reserve attracts more interest, both academic and real.
I am certainly not an expert in selling watches of this quality/calibre on eBay and do wonder whether there are better places to do so that might fetch better prices.
