    Hi Everyone,
Anyone has any idea which era is this watch and whats the correct movement for it?
It has a Zenith Cal 2552 PC in it. Not sure if its the right movement for it.

    Thank you in advance!

The movement cannot be PC because there is no date window: movement 2552P is automatic without date.
There is on ebay a watch in stainless steel that seems to be identical to yours with caliber 2522P (lot of pictures in the description):

I'm not allowed to post links here, so look for this item on ebay:

Yeah i did saw the listing on ebay but i think his casing is not original. Its odd to have a SS casing with Gold crown.
I have no idea which is the right movement for the dial. Even Manfred Rossler book has no reference.

    There isn't a movement 2552P only 2552PC

I must say its a very rare dial or i'm looking the wrong way.

(I set a avatar and I'm currently writing my presentation, it's coming soon)

I agree with you about the gold crown being uncommon on a ss watch, but I thought this was the only part being not original (the buckle for example should be original).
This is a Zenith catalog of mid sixties (1965 if I don't remember wrong) with a watch with date window similar to yours:

In 1965 Zenith used caliber 2562PC.

Mine doesn't have a Date Window. I added a photo of the Movement. I think it might be a Franken watch.

I don't know if it is a Franken but my impression is that it is not: who wants to ruin a watch with such a well preserved dial in a beautiful gold case (dial and case being original and fitting together) by putting a wrong caliber inside?
Zenith sometimes did put a PC caliber in a watch without date (I read a post about it somwhere out there).
In the Rössler's Zenith book you can find at page 146 the picture of a Captain without date window with caliber 2522PC.

What I do find interesting is following: we have a catalog dating this kind of watches to 1965 and then we have a watch with caliber 2522P (produced just in 1960) and another one with caliber 2552PC (produced between 1969 and 1972).
What is the serial number on the back of your watch?

I'll have to check for the serial number. I'll get back to u on it. Where did u find the catalog photos?

Well I did bought a franken watch before. U see the watch below? It should be a cal 2562pc but it was fitted with a cal 2532pc. End up I refunded the watch. My watch maker told me the movement don't suit the dial. The movement are for curve dial. . Almost got cheated.

The catalog foto comes from a old tread on Whatchuseek:
    http://forums.watchuseek.com/f27/ha...s-432686.html#/topics/432686?page=2&_k=3m60yd

Please don't forget to post the serial number as soon as you can. My thoughts about the serial number are following:
Zenith used following numbers on casebacks:
    - until 1964: a seven digit number
    - from 1964 to 1967: xxxAxxx (with x being numbers)
    - from 1968 to 1970: xxxDxxx
    - from 1971 to 1972: xxxExxx
    - in 1973 they stopped to put serial mumbers on caseback and started to hallmark the reference number
The serial number on the watch on ebay has serial number 9748514 and that is ok for caliber 2522P produced in 1960.
Since the caliber 2552PC of your watch was produced starting in 1969 your serial number should be xxxDxxx or xxxExxx. If it has a different serial number it is certainly a Franken.

Sometimes the serial number can be found between the lugs under the 6 (see attached image).

I have a question on the 2552pc movement. How many winds does the crown get from totally unwind to full wind?
