"Refurbished Original Omega Dial" = Refinished. You will find no fans of refinished dials on this forum. PASS
Well, dial refinishing companies refinish dials usually - the actual work is not typically done by a watchmaker. But they can be refinished for a number of reasons - the most common being damage to the original dial that a customer wants repaired. It was once a pretty standard part of getting a watch refurbished, which is why you see older redials. The most common reason I send a dial for refinishing is to make an already poor redial a better redial, at the request of my customer. Cheers, Al
To make a clapped-out unsaleable old dog into something bright and shiny for buyers who don't know what they're doing.
For those that prefer something bright and shiny but with a vintage style/look there are vintage inspired new watches. Just like how they sell new pants that are worn out and ripped...I still don't get that one but to each his own.
