I am struggling withthis decision - have taken each on an overnight test Drive, and after driving each think its the one... Any advice/opinions/experience out there?
I have owned 3 Audi's and have an S4 currently. The new A7 has some of the most beautiful lines of any car out there and has got some stellar reviews. Almost every car magazine that has done a test comparison on Audi's, BMW's, and MB's in the last 5+ years, always picks the Audi on top. I'm probably a little biased though
Long term reviews from the big car mags seem to give the MB an edge on reliability but the Audi gets my vote for style, both inside and out, something about Audi interiors.
Audi, in my opinion they have gone from strength to strength. MB I feel have lost there way over recent years. Mind you the only MB I drive at the moment is a commercial
Both have excellent AWD systems, but the Audi interior is cooler and their seats are more comfortable.
Audi hands down, real driving experience, BMW engines and interior are too germanic for my tastes..(of course build quailty is second to none.) MB reflect a certain age...unless it's AMG then who cares..
it has been explained to me this way... MB is like Rolex, Audi like Omega... I can see the metaphor there... makes me gravitate toward Audi...greater innovation,value for money, quality... but a bit less brand/label recognition here's a current photo from driving my soon to be old car - CLS '09
A word of caution, you start driving cars like these, next thing you know you'll be wearing expensive watches
Perhaps that's why I've never had a strong enough desire to actually fork over the money for a Breguet - I drive a Toyota.
I have 2 Toyotas and 2 Alfa Romeos .................I'm just wondering if thats why I have a few more than just one watch I cant afford a CLS 550 or A7 though I used to think the CLS was a very weird shape but the A7 does look good
Buy a 23-year-old MB W124. You'll not find a better built car today. Save the $40k or spend it on watches.
