Just picked up this vintage Seamaster but I'm trying to find more information about it (release year, movement, etc).
Inside the caseback will have the model number, the serial number on the movement will tell you the approximate year. Or with the serial number you can order an extract of the archives from Omega which will give you the date it left Omega. Oh “ please” might have been nice....
Haha, where are my manners? I wanted to avoid doing that just because I don't have any experience taking apart watches and don't want to risk damaging it.
Maybe something like this: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-omega-st-166-0205
Let's not jump to conclusions, @X350 XJR will be along any minute to point out that I linked the wrong watch.
I just did some digging myself and that's the closest one I could find. The only difference is that mine came with a metal bracelet originally. I put that leather on.
