I am thinking of making an offer on a Speedmaster 105.012 CB case 1966.
First I would like your opinion on the watch.
Second is it possible to have 26.066.xxx movement in such a watch.
Third, how much money one should propose.
I am waiting for more pictures, especially of the back.
Thank you for your help and sorry for another "help me with a Speedmaster thread".

Personally I would pass. The lack of tritium on the dial would be a dealbreaker for me.

You can find a replacement for an incorrect bezel or crown, or track down the right bracelet for a vintage speedy (that's not the correct bracelet on that one, just fyi) if you have the time/money, but once that tritium is gone, it's gone.

If you do pick it up, I'd look towards the lower end of the price chart (closer to the $3500 than the $5200) because of the dial condition.

Nice bezel. Ask for a couple of dial pics taken in natural light to determine if the lume is gone or not......

    Err.....what about a 26m serial in a 105.012?

I dont care how good or bad the rest is, because it is an assembly.

    That's a pass for me.

Right, but still a nice bezel - everthing depends on the price and which parts you're looking for....

    Damn eagle eyes!

Interesting that the seller made it look like a "barn find" speedy. I doubt the watch was franken decades ago...

If seller doesn't disclose its an assembly, perhaps he/she simply doesn't know (being charitable) very much about the watch. A possible scenario? As SF basically intoned, too many questions arise....

Although ... For a CB it's nice to see this case wasn't polished to oblivion ....

Thank you guys for your opinions.
I received the original pics from the owner and he got the serial wrong.
    It is 24.xxx.xxx.
    The case back is ok.
I don't have a pic of the crown.
The only doubt is on the condition of the dial and hands.

I am waiting for a pic of the crown and then I will start negotiate. Because it all comes to the prices. Now that the serial problem is solved. It looks in original unharmed condition, doesn't it ?

I think the crown is the correct one, but the hands and the Dial are not very nice...

To me it does, but wait for the experts to chime in.
My guess is that what looks like dial issues, is just from the crystal being full of scratches, etc. Lume is not perfect, though....

The watch appears correct, the bezel is in great shape. The case is in good shape.
The dial/hands are just ok to my eye. There is lume for sure, just not beautiful lume.
At around 5-6k this would be a solid buy imo, but I would not pay any mre for this one.

    What about the pusher ?
Are they the right ones ?
According to Speedmaster101 they should be short and wide, personnaly I can't tell.
