I have a watch that has been in my family for at least 30 years or longer. I have searched and can not find this particular watch on the internet. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks IMG_4590.JPG

You're on the wrong forum, this is for Vintage Omegas. However, if you were to provide a photo of the dial, we might be able to point you to the correct forum.

I thought over 30 years was vintage. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what it started out as in life, but at some point someone decided to redial and print Omega on it. Badly, unfortunately. The picture is really fuzzy, but the printing on "Omega" and the Omega symbol are very poorly done. Essentially, it is a fake.

I've never seen an Omega like that. Having such an out-of-focus picture make it incredibly difficult to identify.

My fake-ometer is well into the red zone though.

IMG_4599.JPG I tried to do a close up. This was my grandfathers and i am 50. Thanks for your input. I guess i should take it to a jeweler and have the back removed and send the serial number in. IMG_4597.JPG

Sorry, that's not an Omega watch.

    I agree with @rcs914.

I hate to say this, but there isn't going to be anyplace to send the serial number in to - the movement inside that watch will not be an Omega movement. I know that it's disappointing, but you will probably just want to enjoy it because it was his.

I can tell you from the case back that this watch is a Sicura. ETA: I'm assuming that the case back belongs with the rest of the watch - have just had a quick look on Google and didn't see any quite like this one.

I'm not so sure. There are dozens of inexpensive pin-lever dive watches on eBay that have virtually the same case back.
